12 Hour Benefit Marathon In Progress!! May 29, 2007

This year, we’re donating the money we make from our marathon to the Carla Witter memorial fund. Carla was one of the driving forces behind the early years of Twang. She singlehandedly introduced hundreds of people to Twang over the years, including her children, who still remain Twang mainstays. She lost her battle with cancer last fall and this will help with many remaining bills. The event is running as we speak til midnight!

The $10 price is four dollars more than usual, but for a benefit of this kind, we were pretty sure you’d understand. We also figured that for 12 hours, $10 is actually a pretty good price! Although Carla is now gone, she will always be a huge part of Twang’s history. We truly couldn’t have done so many things without her. As she looks down on us during this event, we are quite sure she’ll be dancing right along.

You DO NOT have to be there the whole 12 hours. Come ANYTIME during the marathon, pay, get your hand stamped, leave, come back, whatever! We will give out three free passes to anyone who stays the entire time, but again, that’s up to you! We will also hand out 200 PRIZES thru the day. We’ll hand them out at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10pm. Anyone can win, but you must be present at those times to win!
