About The TWANG…

TRACTOR TWANG was founded in 1994 by Scott Donato. It began as sort of a branch of the “102 Club,” which Scott Donato and Lee Adams created years earlier while working at WHYL Radio in Carlisle. The “Country 102 Club,” which was a weekly event held at the Embers was an adult only affair, and Donato wanted to find something that all ages could attend. During the early years, even with the “all-age” stamp on the event, Twang was still mostly adults. As time went on, Twang’s crowd began to change. The volume of Twangers grew with every season, but the ages that attended started to change. By the late 90′s, Twang started getting involved with workshops and showcases at local colleges and high schools. By 2002, Twang’s crowds had doubled from just a few years earlier, and had created an environment for young adults to enjoy a great time. Over the last four years, Twang’s crowds have gotten even larger yet, which ultimately led to building a new addition, which opened November 4th, 2006. The second phase of the expansion (a new dance floor in that section) was completed on January 13th of 2007. All in all, Scott Donato’s Tractor Twang is a one of a kind experience. You’ll find other clubs, bars, and copy-cat establishments, but there’s only one Twang, and for the hundreds who support us week in and week out, we thank you!
