Taylor Swift Night This Coming Saturday Keeps Getting Bigger September 27, 2008

The Big Taylor Swift celebration this Saturday at Twang (22nd) continues to grow and grow in every way.  What started out as a night to give out 50 copies of her brand new cd, has gotten much more exciting.  Yes, we’ll still hand out 50 copies of her brand new “Fearless” cd, but we’ll also throw in 40, yes FORTY Taylor Swift shirts, 10 specially made Taylor Swift wristbands, 25 Taylor Swift posters, AND 20 copies of previous Taylor cd’s.   Yes, that adds up to nearly 150 Taylor Swift prizes!…and ANY0NE who attends can win!!!

We’ll also play all the Taylor songs you know and love, in addition to all the other Twang hits that you love so much!

Taylor Swift Giveaway Blast This Saturday Highlights November!

Our special November continues this coming Saturday (22nd) with our TAYLOR SWIFT GIVEAWAY night, THEN, the following WEDNESDAY (26th), it’s our day before Thanksgiving Twang, which we do every year!  And, once again, we’ll be helping out project S.H.A.R.E of Carlisle.  If you bring a canned food item, you’ll get two bucks off the admission price!  Last year, we took two huge bins to Project Share…we were very proud!

Soooo, you can’t miss November!!  It is gonna rock!!!

 
 

Season 15 Underway…Back This Saturday!!! September 16, 2008

We turned the page on one season, and kicked another one off last Saturday night at Twang!  Although we don’t ever stop Twang (it’s year-round), this kick off seemed a little more “real” because of so many new things obvious changes….one being the renovated/repainted dance floor.  Thanks for a great season 15 kick off!!

We are back Saturday night with another Twang!  7:15 lesson, 8-11:15 dance.  BE THERE!!!

Last week, 10 people competed in our grand prize “name that tune” contest, and of those 10, four walked away with an ipod, and 2 with a new TV!  Dozens more won cd’s, passes, and shirts.  Some of you were asking about the shirts we gave away at the door to the first 300 people.  We WILL be getting some more of those in in a few weeks.  We knew we’d run out obviously, but we didn’t realize so many people who didn’t get them would be asking for them.  Stay tuned!!!

As we always say, the great news about week 1 is that it is only the beginning!  As we get closer to winter, the crowds continue to grow, and eventually we’re back where we are every winter….wall to wall people!

Thanks again for coming out by the hundreds to ensure that season 15 will be one for the ages!!

Thanks To A GREAT Summer “On The Road!” July 4, 2008

We had our share of “special” Twangs this summer (Fountain Fest, Summerfair, Newville Fair, Ag Expo, Franklin Cty Fair, Corn-fest & more), and we can’t thank you enough for all the support you showed us.  Summer is our slowest season, but it’s also the one season where we pack it up and hit the road as well!  Helping us spread the word of Twang all summer long only makes the fall and winter that much more fun.  Thanks again for all the concrete, dirt, and blacktop dancing this summer.  You are the best!

 
 

Fox 43-TV Features Twang! May 26, 2008

We want to thank Kiersten & Lynette from Fox-43 for visiting the Twang last Wednesday and learning a few dance steps! It was all part of their “In Your Backyard” series and we were thrilled they decided to feature us! It aired on the Fox morning show just before 7am Thursday morning, but is available on their website (Fox43.com) if you missed it. We can’t thank them enough for the press! Twang Heads To Carlisle Fairgrounds Tonight! (Fireworks & Dancing!) May 25, 2008

With the summer season just about here, we switch gears a good bit with all sorts of “on the road” Twangs. Pay close attention to the schedule for all the happenings.

We next take our Twang show on the road to the Carlisle Fairgrounds for their annual Fireworks extravaganza TONIGHT(July 5th). We dance from 7-9:30 on the big stage in front of hundreds, watch the fireworks at 9:30, and then dance AFTER the fireworks too! It’s part of the Carlisle Summerfair celebration and you can’t miss it!!

IF the fireworks are canceled, we will revert back to Twang and have a regular night there….UNLESS it is canceled too close to the time of the event.  In that case, we would cancel as well due to having no time to get back to Twang for setup.

Twangers Everywhere At Jake Owen Sellout April 26, 2008

Thanks for the amazing Jake Owen show back on April 25th in York. After originally setting the attendance limit at 850 (you have to leave some open seats with general admission), we had no choice but to sell more tickets because of demand. We ended up with well over 900 people at West York High School. Thank you SO MUCH for supporting that cause! Of the hundreds there, 100+ were Twangers, and I can’t thank you enough for making the long trip down!!

The pre-party was awesome as well, as Twangers stole the show!! The weather was perfect and the night could not have gone better.

And hey, how bout the actual SHOW!! Jake Owen was amazing!!

Twang/WGTY Hometown Jam This Friday in West York March 24, 2008

Thanks for the amazing Jake Owen shoe last night in York!  We were going to sell only 850 tickets to the show (with general admission you need some open seats), but after we opened ip up to more, well over 900 people filled West York auditorium to see Jake Owen and Lila McCann.

Sunday Night Party Kicks! January 27, 2008

Although it’s rare when we have an actual Twang on Easter, we did so this past Sunday and it was a big success!  Some Twangers prefer Sunday because it’s a bit slower and easier to move around.  With so many schools off on Monday, we threw in an extra one Sunday, and a couple hundred showed up and truly had a blast!!

Thanks again for your continued support!  it doesn’t seem to matter when Twang is, you show!!

 
 

Great Start To ‘08 December 26, 2007

One month down and 11 to go!  Thanks for all the support kicking off yet another year at Twang.  From our Saturdays and Sundays to our “on the road” events, we’ve managed to stay on top of everything….and that’s thanks to you!!

February will bring many other special events, including a Valentine’s Party, AND involvement with something that we’ve never done before…so hang in there as 2008 really gets reved up!  Thanks again!!
