Scott Donato created Tractor Twang in summer, 1994, after serving as host/dj for WHYL Radio’s “Country 102 Club” from 1991-1994. Since then, Scott has spent time at AM960 WHYL in Carlisle, 98YCR in York, WCTX-FM in Palmyra, I-105 WIOV-FM in Lancaster, Country 102 WHYL-FM in Carlisle, and WIOO-AM in Carlisle. You can hear Scott currently at 107.7 WGTY weekday mornings from 6-10am (playing your favorite country hits!) on the “Kim & Scott In The Morning” show. Scott also serves as the station’s Program & Music director. During his time in radio, Scott has won three P.A.B. Awards, and numerous other honors. Scott was only 19 when hired as Country 102’s morning personality, making him the youngest morning host on a top 10 station in Central PA history.

Sam Buca has lent his sound engineering expertise to the Twang for the past few seasons and has experience in just about any area of audio/computers. His club experience ranges from places like the former Odyssey to Eclipse, The Hardware Bar and Dragonfly. Full time, he’s the director of IT/engineering for Cumulus Media Harrisburg/York (Wink 104, 93.5 WTPA, Hot 92, 1400 The Touch, Warm 103, News Radio 910, 96.1 WSOX, ESPN 1440). Sam’s “jive” sign language is second to none.

brenda & nelson shughart - kitchen staff
Brenda & Nelson Shughart have been running the kitchen for Twang’s entire run. With the help of their children Leilani and John, and Earl Bitner, they have played a huge role in Twang’s success. Brenda is also treasurer of the Newville Lions club, and works at Farmer’s National Bank in Newville. Nelson was the first area resident to run in the iditarod dogsled race a few years ago.

brianna dubel - admissions coordinator
Brianna Dubel serves as Twang’s Admissions Coordinator. She is a full-time student at Shippensburg University, majoring in Communications/Journalism. You can usually find Bri manning the admissions table or selling shirts.

Danielle Bird is a graphic designer hailing from the boonedocks of Narvon, PA. She is a graduate of Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology where she received numerous awards and honors for her design work. In addition to her awards and scholarships, she has also designed many promotional pieces for the school and had them distributed nationwide. She currently works at Susquehanna Glass Company in Columbia, PA as a graphic artist. She also loooooooooooves the Tractor Twang (even though she’s never been there) and Great Country 107.7 is her favorite station. She designs all sorts of Twang things ranging from flyers, signs, cd covers, advertisements, postcards, and other promotional items.

Michael Narren has been the definition of “behind the scenes” at TWANG for years. Though you rarely see him, you have definitely seen his work in progress. In addition to directing and editing our instructional DVD, he has designed newsletters, Twang signs and banners, newspaper advertisements, the Twang V.I.P. Cards, and select Twang merchandise. He is an animator by trade and his work has aired on the History Channel, E Entertainment, CBS, and several regional stations. Currently, Michael works for an animation studio in New York City. He is one of the lead animators on the Nicktunes show “Kappa Mikey” and the soon to air show “Ellen’s Acres” on the Cartoon Network.
